Allison Emi Arakawa is a fourth-generation Japanese-Uchinanchu ceramicist and instructor from the island of O‘ahu. She holds a BA in Asian Studies with a concentration in Japanese studies from the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa. Through her personal practice, Arakawa thoughtfully engages in a journey of self-discovery, deepening her connection to her Uchinanchu and Japanese heritages with a spirit of child-like wonder and curiosity.
